| Cardiac output has been found to increase proportionally with the extent of Paget's disease. This is a consequence of the increased vascularity of bone and of the overlying muscle and skin. Arteriovenous shunts have not been demonstrated. Congestive heart failure is a rare complication. There is also a propensity for generalized atherosclerosis and aortic valve and other endocardial calcifications in patients with Paget's disease. | |||
